Corsair One Gaming PC
[Souce - Corsair Press Release]

Corsair announces its first foray into the Gaming PC market with the Corsair One lineup of PCs. Designed to bring decades of experience in cooling, hardware, memory, power supply, and chassis design, this Gaming PC is the result of extensive research and innovation.

“With over 22 years powering the world’s best PCs, we knew now was the right time to bring together all our knowledge to create a truly exceptional PC” -Andy Paul, Corsair CEO

Corsair One Design

With a sleek chassis, compact design and smooth edges, Corsair claims that this is one of those cabinets that you won’t need to hide away from public view. The silent operation, even on high loads, ensures that this PC can be placed anywhere, without annoying and disturbing anyone around it.

Size

The size of this gaming machine is absolutely astonishing, at just 200mm x 176mm x 380mm (7.87in x 6.92in x 14.96in). Although deceptively tiny, featuring a cabinet with a volume of only 12L, the hardware inside is no joke.

Models and Specifications

The detailed technical specifications are provided at the end of this post.

Corsair is launching four PC models in total, with two models exclusive to the Corsair Webstore. The dual liquid cooling (dual radiators for Pro models only) for CPU (Intel Core i7 Kaby Lake processors) and GPU (NVidia GTX 10 series) promise an entirely silent, but killer performance. A Corsair SSD in conjunction with a high-capacity HDD provides both lightning-fast performance and ample storage space.

Moreover, all the hardware used inside this Gaming PC is industry standard (in size). So, upgrading anything in the future should be as easy as swapping out the older part for a newer component.

Microsoft has also supported the Corsair One lineup, providing it a 64-bit Windows 10 Home ecosystem.

“The liquid-cooled Windows 10 desktop is VR-ready and great for Xbox Play Anywhere, and its small form factor creates a number of exciting opportunities for casual or hardcore gamers.” -Gary Fowle, VP U.S. OEM, Microsoft Corp

Considering the hardware that Corsair has packed into this tiny gaming PC, in conjunction with the name it has built for itself in the hardware market, this product is sure to be a popular option among a wide variety of consumers who are looking for a powerful machine. Furthermore, since this hardware is bundled into an ITX form-factor chassis, it will give users a chance to move away from huge towering gaming PCs, to a more compact option.

Reviews

Although Corsair only made the announcement today, several reviewers (Engadget, for example) have already published reviews – indicating that they received the product much before the official announcement was made. From what I’ve seen till now, the reviews are pretty positive. However, one problem that most of them have identified – Corsair doesn’t make it easy for users to open these Corsair One PCs without help. The company seems to be pushing the use of its service centers for the purposes of upgrading, servicing, repairing, and anything that involves opening up your PC basically.
